Tour of 1840’s Church and Property

Turning a church into a home is kinda weird. One of my biggest fears about this process is that it would seem strange and never feel quite right. I certainly didn’t want to invest time, money, and effort into something that I wasn’t proud of. Yep, I allowed myself to be a little too concerned with what others might think.

But in the weeks since my husband’s crazy idea became a reality, we have received a great deal of support and encouragement. In fact, everyone has had the same reaction; you have to share your progress!

During my visits to the property so far, I’ve been critical. I have only been capturing photos that show the work we need to consider moving forward. There’s no time for staging something pretty or cute for Instagram when there is so much work to be done. I wanted to share some photos that were honest and true to the church. Although we have a lot of changes planned, we don’t want to forget the 170 years of memories that have already been made.

What are your favorite architectural elements of the church? Remember to follow us Instagram for a closer look!
